Oh yea... I know the answers... I can hear you saying- " Yes, everyone does". And there may be some exceptions too... Not all the branches of a tree go in the same direction! But we all love our mother. But why don't we love our mother earth???
Do you love your children??? yes, everyone does, everyone those who has kids and those who dont have kids yet, all of us love our own kids. If you belong to that conventional class of society then you will get married( is that necessary?? i don't know!) and then you will have a bunch of kids. Then you will spend your entire life working, earning and saving money and wealth and everything for them, to raise them, to educate them, to enable them to live a better life than the one you are enjoying now. Yes that's all correct, but do we miss the bigger picture here? Each day we are doing lot of things that harms the nature little bit. The water is getting polluted, Air is getting polluted, trees are being cut, animals are being killed and the species are being destroyed...
Oh yea, we humans are doing it... I believe in a fact that basically we are all good, we are all doing better with the available knowledge and awareness.
Yes dear friends, you are also doing all these nasty things, from the first day of your life, you may not be knowing it.
When ever we are using any kind of energy (except those are generated by we animals to power up mussels) we are directly or indirectly burning fossil fuels and leaving lot of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and lot of other gases to the atmosphere. That will pollute the air and at the same time causes the climate to change. The climate change is exponential after a limit and then it will be spontaneous. So a slight change caused by us may result in a great difference in the way the earth looks and feels now.
When ever we buy a new product, we are indirectly releasing a lot of harmful effects to the earth. So buy less, use more. Buy recycled products. produce recyclable products and recycle the used products. Say big NO to plastic and synthetic materials when ever possible.
Love trees even if it is not giving you flower or fruit. Never forget that you have been breathing the oxygen that the trees has been releasing. So you must treat them as lovingly as you treat your mother. fix some plants and trees. setup a small garden. Trust me trees and plants will give you more happiness than that you do buy or feel in shopping malls or pubs or movie theaters. Don't be conditional when you take care of them. the plants may grow, it may not flower, you may not get a fruit, they may not look beautiful as per common norms of symmetry. But love them. If they don't survive, plant some new one to replace them. don't give up.
If you are rich enough, please switch to solar or wind power or go for a hybrid of them.
Use bicycle for commute if you can. Do not use car if you are traveling alone. use public transport. Its good for you. There are lot of good things in using public transportation. Try and find yourself. :)
Its all fine wot if we don't bother about all these crap and then just go on the way everyone are running now. You may save enough for your kids, but their kids will spend double of it to buy water and fresh air from someone else. Or they may not even be able to enjoy the freedom of out side world. They may not enjoy sun bath at the beach, they may not be able to bathe in the sea. They may not be able to do anything in the outdoor! do you want that to happen to you kids or your grand grand kids?????
